Rotating Tiny House to maximise the use of small spaces as an adaptation to population growth.

Increasing population, in combination with an increase of uninhabitable areas results in a severely decreased amount of available living space per individual.Tiny houses can be part of a adaptation strategy, as they allow humans to live closer together while simultaneosly being more sustainable

My tiny house brings this concept to the next level by greatly increasing space efficiency and the number of functions through rotation. The house is built inside a dodecagon, which ensures that it stays at the angle the user wants it to be. Solar panels that are attached on 2 faces of the dodecagon generate electricity to make the tiny house self-sustaining and more environment friendly.

Process:

To test wether my ideas worked, I performed multiple material tests such as making a cardboard model and then modeling the structure in blender-3D to obtain accurate measurements.

One major challenge was to secure the tubings where the wires connect the solar panels and LED sequins. I used silicone tubing wired to a metal mesh to give the whole structure stability and avoid having the wires stick out on any surface.
